Grass & Small Seed Sales Executive

Location: Anywhere in the UK

Package: Competitive within the industry

Job Description: We are looking for a grass and small seed sales executive farm buyer to join our growing business and to become an integral part of our team.

At Cope Seeds & Grain we believe in quality over quantity and developing long term relationships through integrity is a must.

Key Responsibilities

As the Grass & Small Seeds Advisor & Sales Executive you will be responsible for:

  • Growing and developing our current agricultural grass business
  • To grow and develop our cover crop business
  • To develop current customer relationships whilst expanding our customer base through technical support and advise
  • To offer in-house agronomy support when needed to staff and customers
  • To write technical guides on grass, cover crops and the cereal and pulse crops you are accustomed to, to help support the sales of these products.

An essential part of this role will be to develop, create and nurture strong on farm relationships, so confidence and communication skills are key. As a forward-thinking, innovative company we require someone who is creative and can think outside the box.  Business development would be expected.

Experience

  • Previous work experience in agricultural sales and grass seed (2 years min)
  • A solid understanding of the grass and small seeds market
  • Agricultural qualification would be desirable.

You need to be

  • Personable

  • Confident
  • Ability to work independently

Farm Buyer

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced farm buyer to join our growing business and to become an integral part of our grain trading department.

At Cope Seeds & Grain we believe in quality over quantity and developing long term relationships with clients through integrity is a must.

Key Responsibilities

As Farm buyer you will be responsible for fulfilling existing contracts and increasing contracted area/tonnage for the Head of Grain to trade. An essential part of this role will be to develop, create and nurture strong on farm relationships, so confidence and communication skills are key. As a forward-thinking, innovative company we require someone who is creative and can think outside the box and business development work would be expected.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous work experience in agricultural sales or grain buying or as a farm trader (2 years min)
  • A solid understanding of the seed market
  • Agricultural qualification would be desirable.

  • Entrepreneurial in spirit
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with farmers

Job Description: We are looking for agents across the UK to develop our conventional and organic seed sales as well as placing conventional cereal seed acreage. We can offer attractive commissions for any C2 cereal and pulse seed sold and excellent finders fees for cereal and pulse seed placed on contract. We offer training, regular sales meetings and full in house support to all our agents.
