Excellent Yields again from Nelson

2 of our 3 seed crops of Nelson Winter Wheat have now been harvested with both of them achieving stunning yields for Organic Wheat. The largest crop grown by Rob Watts in South Lincolnshire yielded 180 tonnes from 50 acres giving a remarkable yield of 3.6 tonnes per acre.

Although Nelson is a high grade milling wheat which has been accepted by Shipton Flour Mill for one, with yields like that and with the specific weight in the high 70’s, it is still worth growing as a feed wheat
