Ararat Winter Wheat is an excellent addition to the the Winter Wheat portfolio for Conventional and Organic Farmers. After two years of independent testing in the UK, we are confident of bringing ARARAT to the market in the knowledge it has produced outstanding yields in the UK, both treated and untreated, which has also been mirrored in Germany and Denmark. It has a well balanced disease resisitance profile including excellent resistance to Ear Fusarium Blight. Ararat also has high straw yields as well as proving an excellent follow up to Maize.
MAGISTER
Magister is a very high quality milling wheat of German origin. It is classified in Germany as being of E8 quality. This is a superior classification to our own NABIM Group 1, which is equivalent to the German Class A. This variety has attracted significant UK miller interest and offers the UK farmer a profitable variety opportunity over and above currently available wheats. NATURASTAR
NATURASTAR is now a real favourite with the UK organic grower. Uniquein being the only variety commercially availble that is licensed ONLY to be grown ORGANICALLY. Naturastar is a tall, but stiff strawed variety that has given farmers consistent samples of high specific grain, yields comparable to other vasrieties with the added bonuses of the very highest straw yields and the best weed surpressance from any variety available. It also has excellent bread making quality, earning the highest premiums available from millers and is very much favoured by the bread-making end users. It has the unique ability to produce excellent dough characteristics and loaf volumes within a range of protein levels. Unlike other varieties when the protein levels are low, the qualityn of the dough and resultant loaf volumes is affected adversely. NATURASTAR has the ability to produce the elasticity in the dough and spring in the loaf at 11% protein as it does 14% protein. This makes it a very safe variety for any baker.
